Melcor’s Preliminary Motion for Interim Relief Accepted

The Alberta Utilities Commission made a ruling on Proceeding 26649 on August 3rd, 2021. In this proceeding, Melcor Entities seeks interim relief of payments to FortisAlberta Inc. because Melcor Entities assumed the cost that Fortis was not able to cover the construction of facilities that adhered to Fortis’s revised design standard.

The 2022 GCOC Decision Upheld

The Decision on the Preliminary Question Application for Review of Decision 26212-D01-2021

In this decision, the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission) denies an application by the Office of the Utilities Consumer Advocate (UCA) to review and vary Decision 26212-D01-2021, which approved the return on equity (ROE) and set the deemed equity ratios for certain Alberta utilities.
