In proceeding 29934, Direct Energy Regulated Services (Direct Energy) filed a complaint regarding ATCO Electric Ltd.’s (ATCO) interpretation and application of its customer and retailer Terms & Conditions (T&Cs), specifically with respect to permanent disconnections and the continued charging of idle service fees. The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC or Commission) issued its decision following further application from Direct Energy to have the complaint withdrawn after Direct Energy and ATCO reached a resolution regarding the T&Cs.
