In their decision (2014-347) regarding the ENMAX 2014-2015 TFO GTA and 2014 Phase 1 Distribution Tariff application, the Alberta Utilities Commission determined that it was reasonable for ENMAX to develop a deferral account for AESO Direct Assign projects that are cancelled or delayed by the AESO.

On March 9, 2015 the AUC published their decision on the Commission initiated Regulated Rate Tariff (RRT) proceeding. As part of the proceeding, the three RRO providers – EPCOR, ENMAX and Direct Energy – submitted proposals for Energy Price Setting Plans (EPSPs) that consist of a proposed rate of return margin, various forms of risk compensation and a procurement strategy.
