Direct Energy Complaint Regarding ATCO Terms & Conditions – Decision

In proceeding 29934, Direct Energy Regulated Services (Direct Energy) filed a complaint regarding ATCO Electric Ltd.’s (ATCO) interpretation and application of its customer and retailer Terms & Conditions (T&Cs), specifically with respect to permanent disconnections and the continued charging of idle service fees. The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC or Commission) issued its decision following further application from Direct Energy to have the complaint withdrawn after Direct Energy and ATCO reached a resolution regarding the T&Cs.

CCA Complaint against the AESO 

The CCA has filed a complaint against the AESO relating to Capacity Market design decisions. While the complaint is presented as a list of concerns about specific design parameters the underlying complaint is that mass market consumers voices have been under-represented in the AESO’s design process.
