The Commission has denied AltaLink’s R&V request (Decision 27246-D01-2022) to refund $120 million in surplus accumulated depreciation to utility customers.
The AESO, as well as various distribution connected generators have submitted argument and reply argument as part of the AUC hearing (proceeding 27047) on the AESO’s Adjusted Metering Practice (AMP) implementation plan.
The AUC has recently released two bulletins on upcoming rule changes aimed at making AUC processes and procedures more efficient.
Recently, the Alberta Department of Energy hosted two workshops with stakeholders on self-supply and export. The background to these meetings was a report on self-supply and export, submitted to the DOE by the Commission in 2020.
On December 23, 2020 AUC released Decision 25848-D01-2020 on the AESO’s adjusted metering practice and substation fraction methodology.
On March 5, 2020 the Commission provided a ruling and closure letter on AltaLink’s request for a generic proceeding into distribution planning criteria.
Preliminary submissions on the generic proceeding on distribution planning criteria were posted to the AUC website on January 17, 2020.
Capacity market consultations continue as the DOE, AESO and AUC work to develop and approve rules that will implement and govern the capacity market.
