AESO 2016 Deferral Account Reconciliation

The AESO filed their 2016 Deferral Account Application on August 1, 2018. The AESO is requesting approval for reconciliation on variances between the AESO’s actual costs and the revenue collected through AESO DTS & FTS rates, Rider C and previous DA reconciliations.

AESO Capacity Market Design 2

On May 1, 2018 the AESO hosted a session to present on the Comprehensive Market Design version 2.0 (CMD 2).  As the design process goes on, more and more technical details are worked out; however, the overall design remains largely unchanged from previous iterations.

Bill 13

AESO 2018 Tariff – 12CP

On March 12, 2017, the AESO hosted a facilitated discussion on the 12-Coincident Peak (12CP) methodology. This issue was most recently raised during the AESO’s 2018 tariff application, and the AESO was directed to research and address the issue in advance of the tariff application moving forward. As part of meeting the Commission’s directive, the AESO asked interested parties to make presentations on the effectiveness of 12CP as well as potential alternatives.
