(AltaLink) is applying to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the AUC or Commission) for approval of its Transmission General Tariff Application (GTA) for 2026-2027. AltaLink’s forecast revenue requirements for the Test Period are $931.4 million for 2026, $988.0 million for 2027.
In proceeding 29255, the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) provides its final decision with respect to the negotiated settlement agreement (NSA) submitted by the Consumers Coalition of Alberta (CCA), the Utilities Consumer Advocate (UCA), and ENMAX Power Corporation (EPC or ENMAX) with respect to the 2026-2028 Transmission General Tariff Application (GTA) filed by ENMAX.
In Proceeding 29255, ENMAX Power Corporation (EPC or ENMAX) submitted a negotiated settlement agreement to the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) for its 2026-2028 Transmission General Tariff Application (GTA). The agreement was reached between EPC, the Consumers Coalition of Alberta (CCA), and the Utilities Consumer Advocate (UCA), with an invitation extended to the Industrial Power Consumers Association of Alberta (IPCAA). The settlement covered both monetary and non-monetary aspects.
In proceeding 29615, TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta) is applying to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the AUC or Commission) for approval of its Transmission General Tariff Application (GTA) for 2024-2025. TransAlta’s revenue requirements for the test period are $12.8million for 2024, and $13.4 million for 2025.
In Proceeding 27581, ENMAX Power Corporation (“ENMAX”) submits its 2023-2025 Transmission General Tariff Application to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the “Commission”) for review and approval. This application includes ENMAX’s requested revenue requirement for test years 2023-2025, its latest depreciation study, and a cost allocation study.
ENMAX owns and operates the electricity transmission and distribution system in and around The City of Calgary. Its transmission system consists of 335 kilometres of transmission lines and 40 substations across 1,089 square kilometres, primarily within Calgary’s municipal boundaries.[1]
In Proceeding 27238, AltaLink Management Ltd. (“AltaLink”) requested a review and variance of the decision the Alberta Utilities Commission (the “Commission”) made regarding AltaLink’s forecast capital expenditures for its Pipeline Electrical Interference Mitigation Program.
The Commission has denied AltaLink’s R&V request (Decision 27246-D01-2022) to refund $120 million in surplus accumulated depreciation to utility customers.
On March 31, 2021, TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta) submitted its 2019-2021 General Tariff Application (GTA) to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission) for Proceeding 26436. Within this application, TransAlta requests the Commission’s approval of Transmission Facility Owner (TFO) rates for 2019 through 2021, as well as TransAlta’s Direct Assign Capital Deferral Account (DACDA) compliance filing for 2016 through 2018.
On August 23, 2018, AltaLink Management Ltd. (AltaLink) submitted its 2019 – 2021 General Tariff Application (GTA) to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission), requesting approval for its revenue requirement for the 2019 – 2021 test period as well as a change to the salvage cost recovery method it currently employs.
EPCOR Distribution and Transmission Inc. (EDTI) has applied to the AUC for approval of the 2015-2017 transmission tariff. EDTI has responded to information requests from the Commission and from interveners, and the oral hearing is scheduled to begin on April 10, 2015.
