On July 31, 2019, EPCOR Distribution and Transmission Inc. (EDTI) submitted its 2020 – 2022 Transmission Facility Owner (TFO) General Tariff Application (GTA) to the Alberta Utilities Commission for approval.
Fortis Alberta Inc. (Fortis) is requesting approval from the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) for its Phase II Distribution Tariff Application for the years of 2021 – 2022 in Proceeding 25201.[1] The main components for the application include updated terms and conditions of service, the cost allocation methodology, and the rate structure.
The Commission has initiated Proceeding 25282 to examine whether Decision 22742-D02-2019, pertaining to ATCO Electric Ltd.’s (AET) 2018 – 2019 GTA, should be confirmed, varied, or rescinded.
On March 5, 2020 the Commission provided a ruling and closure letter on AltaLink’s request for a generic proceeding into distribution planning criteria.
The responses to AUC Bulletin 2020-01 regarding potential amendments to the legislation on self-supply assets and exporting self-supplied energy were submitted on February 14, 2020.
The AUC has ruled on the negotiated settlement agreement (NSA) between the Market Surveillance Administrator (MSA) and the Balancing Pool (BP) in Decision 23828-D02-2020.[1]
ENMAX Power Corporation (ENMAX) has advised that its No.1 Substation which is located at 738 9th Avenue S.W in downtown Calgary is nearing end of life. As a result, ENMAX is requesting approval to build a replacement No.1 Substation located on the north side of 9th Avenue S.W., across the old substation, in Proceeding 25206 (also known as the facilities proceeding).[1]
The Town of Devon (Devon) is requesting a stay from the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) on Decision 24435-D01-2019 pending a review and variance (R&V) application.
In July 2019, ATCO Electric Ltd. (AE) submitted its Phase II Distribution Tariff Application (the Application) to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission). The interveners in the proceeding (ID 24747) are the Alberta Federation of Rural Electrification Associations (AFREA), Altalink Management Ltd. (AML), the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSia), the Consumers Coalition of Alberta (CCA), Conoco Canada (Conoco), the Canada West Ski Areas Association (CWSAA), the Industrial Power Consumers Association of Alberta (IPCAA), and the Utilities Consumer Advocate (UCA). The arguments and reply arguments have now been submitted.
