In proceeding 30154, the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC or Commission) issued its decision on the review and variance application filed by TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta). The application sought to vary Decision 29615-D01-2025, which had addressed TransAlta’s 2024–2025 General Tariff Application (GTA) and, in particular, its requested expenditures for fire risk mitigation and transmission line rebuilds.

TransAlta’s revenue requirements for the test period are $12.8million for 2024, and $13.4 million for 2025.

In Proceeding 28174, AltaLink Management Ltd. (AltaLink) submits to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission) its 2024-2025 general tariff application along with the applications of KainaiLink, L.P. (KainaiLink) and PiikaniLink, L.P. TransAlta’s 2019-2021 General Tariff Decision

On June 23, 2021, the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission) made a decision regarding the 2019-2021 General Tariff Application (GTA) application of TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta) in Proceeding 26436. Within this decision, the Commission was satisfied most of the application and only directed TransAlta to make a significant adjustment regarding their escalation rate for non-union salary, contractor, and general inflation for 2021.

TransAlta’s 2019-2021 General Tariff Application

On March 31, 2021, TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta) submitted its 2019-2021 General Tariff Application (GTA) to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission) for Proceeding 26436. Within this application, TransAlta requests the Commission’s approval of Transmission Facility Owner (TFO) rates for 2019 through 2021, as well as TransAlta’s Direct Assign Capital Deferral Account (DACDA) compliance filing for 2016 through 2018.
