In proceeding 29615, TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta) is applying to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the AUC or Commission) for approval of its Transmission General Tariff Application (GTA) for 2024-2025. TransAlta’s revenue requirements for the test period are $12.8million for 2024, and $13.4 million for 2025.
In Proceeding 28174, AltaLink Management Ltd. (AltaLink) submits to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission) its 2024-2025 general tariff application along with the applications of KainaiLink, L.P. (KainaiLink) and PiikaniLink, L.P. (PiikaniLink) for review. Overall, AltaLink seeks to maintain its transmission tariffs at its 2018 levels and to correct accounting errors discovered since its previous application.[1]

On June 23, 2021, the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission) made a decision regarding the 2019-2021 General Tariff Application (GTA) application of TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta) in Proceeding 26436. Within this decision, the Commission was satisfied most of the application and only directed TransAlta to make a significant adjustment regarding their escalation rate for non-union salary, contractor, and general inflation for 2021.
On March 31, 2021, TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta) submitted its 2019-2021 General Tariff Application (GTA) to the Alberta Utilities Commission (the Commission) for Proceeding 26436. Within this application, TransAlta requests the Commission’s approval of Transmission Facility Owner (TFO) rates for 2019 through 2021, as well as TransAlta’s Direct Assign Capital Deferral Account (DACDA) compliance filing for 2016 through 2018.
The AUC has issued a decision on Module C (Decision 790-D06-2017) in the AESO Line Loss Rule hearing. In this decision, the Commission approves a methodology for calculating final loss factors for January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2016.
